BREAKING NEWS FROM LA REV:
Dear Friends, Fans and Supporters:
We have an important update about La Rev. Due to a variety of factors, we have decided to close our Runnymede location and return to our original location of 2848 Dundas Street West, in the heart of the Junction, where we will co-exist with our sister restaurant Acapulco.
The last two shows at 825 Runnymede Rd will be this Thursday September 24, Luciano Decicco, and the Hump Day Blues Show on Wednesday September 30.
Good News: we will keep our tradition of live music going; it will be happening regularly on Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 7-9pm, and some later Saturday nights including the return of Tak Arikushi in a monthly residency. Music will start up again at 2848 Dundas West on Wednesday October 14. Stay tuned for updates! Thanks so much for your loyalty to our business.

Sam Broverman and Whitney Ross-Barris have been singing together for almost fifteen years, appearing in venues across Toronto, including The Jazz Bistro, The Old Mill, The Rex and Lula Lounge, as well as being featured at the Kensington Market Jazz Festival on multiple occasions. The repertoire they draw from is wide-ranging – from Irving Berlin, Jules Styne and Johnny Mercer to Tom Lehrer, Tom Waits and Joni Mitchell. They continue to delight audiences with their warm, friendly onstage rapport and great comedic timing.
Pianist Peter Hill has been working as a sideman in the greater Toronto area for roughly two and a half decades. With a piano style steeped in early swing with shades of boogie-woogie, Hill is especially sought-after as an accompanist who can play virtually any song in any key without a chart. Previously associated with Jeff Healey, current and long-time collaborator with Laura Hubert, the house pianist for Lisa Particelli’s vocalist-friendly Girls Night Out Jazz Jam.

About the Artist:
Diya Tirone is currently attending the University of Toronto for a major in vocal jazz performance and has studied with Juno Award-winning songwriter Jacqueline Teh, multiple Juno Award-winning saxophonist Kelly Jefferson and Juno Award-winning jazz drummer Ernesto Cervini. Diya has also been mentored by Juno Award-winning jazz vocalist Caity Gyorgy, one of her largest influences. She was nominated in 2025 for “Best Performer” in a musical by Broadway World Toronto and uses her experience in musical theatre to focus on the emotion and storytelling of classic jazz songs.
