One of our favourite times of year is just around the corner.

Crisp mornings, incredible sunrises peeking through the fog, and the course slowly transforming into shades of gold, amber and red.

The colours may be changing, but the course conditions are as beautiful as ever. There’s something about fall golf at Morgan Creek that just hits differently.

Here’s to sweater weather, colourful fairways and a few more unforgettable rounds before the season changes.

Today is Thank a Golf Course Superintendent Day, and we’re proud to recognize our Superintendent, Alan Ayres.

For more than 25 years, Alan has played an incredible role in the story of Morgan Creek. His dedication, knowledge and commitment to the course can be seen from the first tee to the 18th green and everywhere in between.

Behind every perfectly cut fairway, smooth green and pristine bunker is an incredible amount of work that often begins long before the first golfer arrives. Alan leads his team with pride, experience and a genuine passion for creating the best possible playing conditions for everyone who steps onto the course.

Alan, thank you for your dedication to Morgan Creek, for setting such a high standard year after year, and for keeping the course in the exceptional condition we are so fortunate to enjoy.

And to our entire Grounds Team, thank you for everything you do behind the scenes, every single day.

Here at Morgan Creek Golf Course, friendships can be made and maintained summer after summer.  Ben has worked on the grounds crew for 6 seasons and has never been late, comes with a smile and is a standup guy. Ben's first day here he put a mower into 14 pond so were happy he pulled through and became one of our seasoned mentors, teaching the new recruits which ponds to avoid with their mowers.

On his last day on the Grounds Crew Ben requested to split mowing 13 green with his best buddy Matteo. Matteo and Ben met their first season together back in 2021. Ben is off to law school in Australia and is not coming back for the 2027 season. He will be missed by everyone on the crew, and we wish him the best on his new adventure down under!
