As many of you know our 22nd street location was closed and a necessary step to protect the safety, well-being, and integrity of our team, families, and guests.
As we observe Reconciliation Week, I’ve been reflecting deeply on what healing and community strength really mean.
Reconciliation starts with us—in how we support one another and replace lateral violence, slander, and online bullying with healing, kindness and respect.
It has been tough watching false statements and misinformation circulate about my business and assumptions being made of my character. As I shared before, I am doing well, standing firm, and focusing entirely on what’s good and true.
To set the record straight and share some good news:
• The facts: The rumors being spread are false. We are handling the slander through appropriate channels while continuing to move our business forward with honesty and care.
• A new foundation: I have secured a private commercial kitchens to ensure our operations continue in a safe, healthy, and controlled space. I have also expanded and relocated my bannock mix business to another province.
• Bringing back the bannock: I am working closely with incredible partners in Saskatoon to provide fresh bannock and expand our offerings to serve you better than ever.
To every person who has suported my journey on 22nd street and reached out with trust, love, and encouraging words—thank you.
Your support reminds me why this work matters. Let’s use this week to focus on lifting each other up, calling out lateral violence, and building something we can all be proud of.
