There’s something about a good plate of chow mein that never gets old 🍜🔥

Chow mein may have started with Chinese roots, but over the years it became a huge part of food culture back home in Nepal. You’ll find it almost everywhere — small cafés, street corners, local restaurants — and everyone seems to have their favourite version.

Ours is simple: fresh veggies, good seasoning, a hot wok and plenty of flavour.

🇳🇵 Our Hearts Are With Nepal 🇳🇵
This is an incredibly heartbreaking time for Nepal and Nepali people around the world. The devastating floods and landslides have caused tremendous loss of life and property, leaving families grieving, people missing, and thousands affected. Our hearts are heavy as we witness our entire nation going through such immense pain. 💔
During this difficult time, we extend our deepest gratitude and respect to everyone working tirelessly in rescue and relief efforts — government agencies, security personnel, healthcare workers, volunteers, organizations, and countless individuals. We are equally grateful to Nepalis living in Nepal and around the world, as well as friends of Nepal, who have come together and extended their helping hands when they are needed most.
On behalf of the Himalayan Bites family and the Nepali community of Prince George, we offer our heartfelt condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones. We pray for the speedy recovery of those who are injured, for the safe return of those who are still missing, and for strength and courage for everyone affected by this tragedy. 🙏
Although many of us are far from home, our hearts are in Nepal. 🇳🇵
We humbly ask our friends, families, customers, and the wider community to keep Nepal and all those affected in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.
Stay strong, Nepal. 🇳🇵
You are in our hearts, thoughts, and prayers. 🙏
