Thank you, North Vancouver. ❤️
After a weekend of full booths, familiar faces, shared stories, and so many generations coming through the doors, we’re feeling incredibly grateful.
As shared in the recent Vancouver Sun feature on The Tomahawk’s 100th anniversary, Chuck Chamberlain put it beautifully:
“The customers built the restaurant, and the restaurant built the customers. It goes hand in hand.”
That quote says everything.
For 100 years, The Tomahawk has been shaped by the people who have made it part of their lives — the families who came for breakfast, the regulars who knew their favourite booth, the kids who grew up visiting and came back with kids of their own, the first-time guests who became familiar faces, and the community that kept showing up year after year.
This centennial weekend was a reminder that The Tomahawk has never just been about the food. It’s about the memories made around the table. The stories told over coffee. The birthdays, breakfasts, burger runs, slices of pie, and little traditions that become part of a family’s history.
To every customer who celebrated with us, shared a memory, tagged us in a photo, brought in a story, or simply stopped by — thank you.
To our team, who kept the Tomahawk spirit alive through one very busy weekend — thank you. We couldn’t have celebrated 100 years without you.
Please keep tagging us and sharing your Tomahawk memories. We love seeing the stories, traditions, and moments that make this place so special.
A century of memories. A weekend of thanks. And so much gratitude for the community that made it possible.
