امروز روز زن است.

اما برای بسیاری از زنان ایران، این روز با یاد و سوگ درآمیخته است.

مادرانی که فرزندشان را به آغوش خاک سپرده‌اند.
دخترانی که جای خالی پدر و برادر را هر روز حس می‌کنند.
همسرانی که با یاد یار از دست‌رفته زندگی را ادامه می‌دهند.

با این همه، زنان ایران نشکستند.
خم نشدند.
و خاموش نماندند.
و رقص عزا شد نشان مقاومتشان.

از دل سوگ، نیرویی زاده شد که جهان آن را دید.
نیروی ایستادگی، شرافت و دل‌آگاهی.

امروز زنان ایران تنها زنان یک سرزمین نیستند؛
آنان نشان دلیری و پایداری برای زنان سراسر جهان‌اند.

Today we honor women.
For many women of Iran, this day carries grief, remembrance and strength.
Mothers who buried their children.
