‘What makes a place the go-to spot for birthday dinners in a family? What kind of service does it take to build up a legion of regulars? How do you make a vegetable side dish so revelatory that people regularly travel across town to eat it?

The Globe set out to highlight some of these restaurants that have made it to middle age – which we’re defining as at least eight years old. To survive that long is a rare feat and many excellent establishments close before marking that milestone.’

You never know where a peanut butter and jelly sandwich will take you. Our kitchen apprentice, Madison had one for lunch last week and out came this dessert idea. She made for you a lovely fried bread pudding dusted in cinnamon sugar, served with partridgeberry jam, peanut butter caramel and a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream, a sweet nod to the glass of milk every pb&j deserves. It’s some good!

Summer Hours:
Wed + Thurs 5pm - 8:30pm
Fri + Sat 4pm - 8:30pm
Sunday Brunch 10am - 2pm

(We take last reservation at 8:30pm and 2pm, no that doesn’t mean you have to be gone by that time and yes brunch is all day from 10am-2pm on Sundays! 🤗)
