I'll be honest: panettone is my favourite thing to make all year. 🎄

It takes days, it's fussy, and it tests my patience more than anything else I bake. When it comes out tall and golden, with that crackly sugar top and a soft, buttery inside full of fruit, it's worth every minute.

Last year's panettone went better than I'd hoped. So many of you came back to say it had become part of your Christmas, and I've been looking forward to making it again ever since. Well, it's that time.
