Nein clear b**r here.

Just in time for Oktoberfest, Cloud Nein German Hefeweizen has landed on tap! 🍺

At 4.5% ABV, this Bavarian classic is brewed with German Pilsner & Wheat Malt plus a touch of Alberta raw wheat, pouring beautifully cloudy with that big, fluffy Hefeweizen head.

Some b**rs have a smooth journey from brewhouse to pint glass.

This one had to survive a massive sinkhole and watermain break first.

Introducing SINKHOLE SURFER WEST COAST PILSNER — 5% ABV | 37 IBU 🌊

Originally planned for August, Sinkhole Surfer got caught in the middle of our infamous Sinkhole Saga, when Bowness decided we didn’t need water for a little while. The wave has finally broken, the l***ring is done, and it’s officially time to ride. 🤙

Brewed as our hoppier, fall-ready successor to Bowness Pilsner, Sinkhole Surfer combines the crisp, refreshing drinkability of a l***r with a little West Coast attitude.

🌾 Slightly nutty, freshly baked bread
🍑 Sweet stonefruit
🌸 Light floral character
🥭 A subtle mango finish
🌲 Present but approachable hop bitterness

Crystal hops, Citra Cryo and Mosaic Quantum bring the hop character, while a layered malt bill keeps everything balanced, crisp and slightly off-dry.

Think Pilsner meets West Coast IPA — plenty of flavour, plenty of refreshment, without going full hop bomb.

We’re throwing a RAD Hazy Pale Ale Launch Party on Saturday, September 26 to celebrate our newest b**r hitting cans AND kegs!

Inspired by the BMX and skateboard culture that ripped through Bowness in the ’80s & ’90s, RAD is our liquid tribute to dirt jumps, half-pipes, scraped knees and doing something stupidly awesome because your buddy said you couldn’t.

🍺 RAD HAZY PALE ALE
Loaded with Nelson Sauvin, Riwaka & CIP076 hops for a huge burst of ripe passionfruit, juicy grapefruit and zesty orange juice — soft, hazy and ridiculously crushable.

📼 We’ll be keeping the nostalgia rolling all day with old-school BMX & skateboarding movies and videos on the big screen — so grab a pint, settle in and relive the glory days.

🚨 NEW BREW: PLANETARY INTERGALACTIC 🚨

Intergalactic, planetary… planetary, intergalactic. 🪐👽🍺

Our Zodiak Series is blasting off again with PLANETARY INTERGALACTIC HAZY IPA — 6% ABV, 37 IBU and featuring some of the freshest hops we’ve ever gotten our hands on.

The star of this batch is Strata Fresh Hop Cryo. These hops were picked in the Willamette Valley in Oregon, cryogenically frozen, flown to Calgary and thrown into this b**r all in less than THREE DAYS. 🚀🌿 That means incredibly bright, pure Fresh Hop character without waiting for next year’s harvest.

Alongside Strata, we loaded this one up with Citra, Mosaic, Simcoe, Motueka + Mosaic Quantum Extract for a soft, full-bodied haze bursting with Cara Cara orange, tropical grapefruit, lychee, ripe berries, passionfruit and a little nectarine. 🍊🥭

Milky pale yellow, pillowy soft, lightly bitter and finishing with a lingering hit of juicy orange.

For the second year in a row, Brewsmith took home Best B**r at Barley & Smoke — and this year, Bownesian Rhapsody: Watermelon Sour brought home the hardware. 🍉🍺🔥

An incredible day of b**r, BBQ and community, all in support of Kids Cancer Care. ❤️ A huge thank you to everyone who came out, grabbed a pour, cast a vote and helped raise money for such an important cause — plus all the breweries, BBQ crews, organizers, volunteers and sponsors who make Barley & Smoke happen.

And if you want to taste the now award-winning Watermelon Sour, you better move FAST. 👀

Blueberry Cobbler Wheat Ale | 4.1% ABV

The Bakery is officially open, and the first thing out of the oven is Blueberry Cobbler.

A soft, easy-drinking Wheat Ale loaded with all the flavours of a fresh-baked blueberry cobbler. Think blueberry jam and freshly picked berries, layered with cinnamon, vanilla and baking spice, then finished with notes of buttery pie crust and blueberry muffins.

Dessert-inspired? Absolutely.
Over-the-top sweet? Nope.

Mexican Blue Corn L***r | 4.5% ABV

Once in a blue moon, a l***r like this comes along. 🌽🔵

Introducing Luna Azul, our newest Mexican Ce***za, brewed to squeeze one last little bit of summer out of patio season.

Brewed with Pilsner Malt, Flaked Corn & Blue Corn Flour, then fermented clean and crisp with Ce***za yeast and kissed with just a touch of salt to bring everything together.

Expect:
🌽 sweet corn masa
🍯 crisp honey-hay Pilsner malt character
🧂 a subtle minerality and salinity, and an ultra-clean, refreshing finish built for crushing a couple under the September sun.
