“You do private events solo?”

Yes.

“Wait… how many people can one chef actually cook for?”

Honestly?
More than most people think.

Plated dinners? → usually up to 12 guests.
Family style or tapas? → around 20.
BBQs, buffets, and receptions? → up to 40 depending on the menu.

“What!? 40!?”

Yes.

A lot of it comes down to the style of service the client is looking for and building the right menu around the experience.

And if clients want a higher level of service, we can also bring in trusted servers or bartenders to help elevate the evening even further.

There’s a lot more happening behind the scenes than people realize —
timing, prep, organization, ex*****on.

But when it’s done right?
It just feels effortless for the guests.

The first thing I sacrifice when life gets busy?
Meals.

I want to be in the garden or on the bike.

But there’s also kids, friends, family, appointments, and work taking up most of the day.

So cooking?
That’s usually the first thing to go.

And I know I’m not the only one.

What if you didn’t have to choose between eating well and having time for the things you actually enjoy?

That’s the whole idea behind what we do.

My best friend headed in for her first round of chemo yesterday.
I guess technically… her second “first round.”

Her road has not been an easy one.

I wish I could fix this for her.
I wish I could be there every second to support her through it.

But when I can’t be there in person, I ride.

I think about her every single day.
I love her deeply.
And watching someone you love go through something this difficult changes you.

So this year, I’m riding in the Tour Alberta for Cancer for her.

If you’re able to support the ride, even $5 means something. Every little bit truly helps.

Last week I had the opportunity to prepare a private dinner for 7 wonderful guests —
4 courses plus appetizers, all prepared & served in their home.

Great conversation.
Great energy.
And one very happy table by the end of the night.
