Something’s been off behind the scenes, and I wanted to be honest with everyone. ❤️

If you’ve noticed we’ve been quieter on Instagram lately, especially in our Stories, there’s a reason.

Our account is active. Our account status is green. We can post photos, reels, and reply to messages. But for some reason, we can’t post to Stories or write any caption.

We’ve tried everything we can think of, and nothing seems to be working.

We don’t know what’s causing it. It could simply be a technical issue, or it’s possible our account was falsely flagged. At this point, we honestly don’t know-we just know it’s incredibly frustrating.

As a small business, our Stories are one of the biggest ways we connect with our community. It’s where we share our daily specials, behind-the-scenes moments, new products, and what life is really like running a family business.

Lately it feels like we’ve had one challenge after another. Between vandalized signs, false refund phone calls, and now social media issues, it can feel overwhelming. Some days it feels like every time we take a step forward, something tries to push us back.

Truth is… it’s been a tough season.

For those who know me personally, you know I’ve been carrying a lot behind the scenes. Running a small business while navigating life isn’t always as aesthetic as social media makes it look.

But here’s the thing…

We’re still here.

You can’t stop people who have a reason bigger than themselves.

My family is my why. They’re the reason I keep getting up before sunrise, pushing through the hard days, and believing this dream is worth fighting for. As a woman in business, I’ve learned resilience isn’t something you’re born with-it’s something you choose, over and over again.

To whoever may be trying to slow us down-whether this is simply a glitch or something more-please know one thing:

We’re still here.

You won’t stop us from showing up for our customers, our community, or our family. You won’t stop us from opening our doors every morning, serving great coffee, or continuing to build what we’ve poured our hearts into.

And to our community…

I see you.

To every person who has stopped in for a coffee, bought a pastry, shared one of our posts, left an encouraging comment, recommended us to a friend, or simply chose to support a local family-run business instead of a big chain…

Thank you.

So if you want to help us beat the algorithm (or whatever is happening 😅), show this post some love, share it, tag a friend, or come by and grab your favourite drink.

The support you show a small business doesn’t just help a business.

It helps a family. ❤️

We’re not going anywhere.

See you tomorrow. ☕🤍

What an incredible day at the Angus Legion’s 100th Anniversary! 🇨🇦❤️

Thank you, Angus, for welcoming us and supporting our little mobile café. Days like today remind us why we love being part of this community.

We were honoured to spend the day with Mayor Sandy (pictured) and some of the amazing people who have been cheering us on since the beginning (pictured here, Ron).
It’s funny how small businesses work- people may first stop by for a coffee, but over time they become familiar faces, friends, and part of our Greekery family. Those relationships mean more to us than you’ll ever know.

To everyone who came by for a drink, a pastry, or simply to say hello- thank you. Your support not only helps our small business, but also helped us give back to the Legion today. ❤️

We truly feel lucky to call Angus home. Until next time! ☕🇨🇦

I don’t usually post things like this, but today has been one of those days.

I think something is going on with our social media. 😔

For some reason, Instagram isn’t letting me post, but thankfully I can still post here on Facebook.

On top of that, over the past while we’ve received strange phone calls from people claiming they made purchases with us and demanding refunds for transactions that don’t exist. We’ve also had our A-frame signs, flags, and other signage vandalized, broken, or simply disappear. Replacing these things isn’t cheap, and for a small family business, every dollar matters.

I honestly don’t know if these are isolated incidents, if they’re somehow connected, or if someone is intentionally trying to put a wrench in our lives and our business. I truly hope that’s not the case.

What I do know is that this isn’t the first time. It’s happened enough that it’s become emotionally draining. I’ve stayed quiet because I never wanted our page to become a place where I complain. I wanted it to be a place that brought people coffee, pastries, smiles, and a little bit of happiness.

But the truth is… there are days I wonder why we keep fighting so hard.

Running a small business in today’s financial climate is already difficult enough. When things like this happen, it makes you question everything. It makes you angry. It makes you frustrated. It makes you wonder why anyone would want to make life harder for a family that’s simply trying to earn an honest living.

Despite all of that… we are not giving up.

We are resilient. We have overcome obstacle after obstacle over the last several years, and we’ll keep getting back up. We built Greekery with hard work, long hours, and the support of an incredible community. No matter what challenges come our way, we’re going to keep showing up, making your coffee, baking your pastries, and doing what we love.

If you see us a little quieter on Instagram for now, know that we’re working to sort it out.

Thank you for believing in us, supporting local, and reminding us why we started this journey in the first place. Your support means more than you’ll ever know. ❤️

A difficult update from the Greekery Mobile Café

Today was a really tough decision for us.

As a small family business, every day we’re closed is a day we don’t earn income, so cancelling a service day is never something we take lightly. Unfortunately, with today’s poor air quality, we couldn’t justify asking our team to spend hours working outdoors or putting our customers at risk.

As disappointing as it is, the health and safety of our staff and guests has to come first.

We’re heartbroken to miss today and truly appreciate your patience, understanding, and continued support of our little business. We hope the air clears quickly so we can get back to doing what we love-serving you.

We REMAIN OPEN and operating at our regular hours at our Angus location

📍223 Mill St

For those who can’t get to us, we also offer UBER EATS delivery 💚 🚚

We hope to see you in store.

Stay safe, everyone. 💙☕🇬🇷

Angus ❤️

We’ve been putting a lot of love back into our little café, and we hope you’ll come by and see what’s new.

This week we’re introducing two treats we’re really excited about…
🤎 Biscoff White MochaMade with a double shot of espresso, real Belgian white chocolate, our signature flavouring, Biscoff cream and topped with cold foam. Whether you’re an iced coffee person or love something cozy, you can enjoy it hot or cold.

🥐 Our NEW Double-Baked S’mores CroissantA buttery croissant baked with a chocolate chip cookie inside, topped with gooey marshmallows and finished with a rich Swiss chocolate drizzle. It’s nostalgic, summer campfire vibes, and honestly one of our favourite creations yet.

If you haven’t visited in a while, we’d love to welcome you back. Every coffee you grab, every pastry you share with a friend, and every visit helps keep our little family café going.

Your support truly means more than you know ❤️

Come hang out, catch up with the girls, stay a little longer, and let us know what you think. We can’t wait to see some familiar faces again. 💙

See you soon,Deanna, Costa & the Greekery Team
