The Little K & Co is one of those places where you walk in for a coffee and find yourself staring at a display case full of treats you suddenly need to try.

Keiko is an experienced chef and baker, with years in hospitality behind her, and it shows. Sweet and savoury, vegan, GF, healthy or indulgent, there’s something for everyone, and very little of it feels like it’s been made just to follow the crowd.

It’s creative, unique and bloody tasty.

Little K & Co pours our Top of the Morning Blend, and it feels right at home here. Its old-school rustic vibe, unique flavour profile and seriously high-quality components fit perfectly with a place that puts flavour and individuality ahead of following the crowd.

We reckon that sums Keiko (and most in hospo frankly!) up nicely.

A little road trip to Stirling Cottage..

There’s something about the road to Harvey that makes you slow down. The traffic fades, eucalyptus fills the air, lemon trees grow wild and roadside stalls invite you to stop and explore. For me it comes after a typically hectic production cycle, so the time to hit the road and deliver is nothing short of refreshing.

Then you arrive at Stirling Cottage, with its incredibly beautiful gardens, historic charm and an old outhouse that’s a piece of art in disguise.

Dating back to the mid-1800s, the cottage is part of Harvey’s history and one of Little Fish Coffee’s first wholesale customers. Their early support helped give us the confidence to keep building, and we’re proud to still be part of their story today.

Stirling Cottage serves our Old Mate Blend and stocks bags for guests to purchase for home at home, alongside many other wonderful local artisan products/ producers.

Good coffee, delicious food, fresh country air and nowhere you need to be in a hurry.

Stirling cottage really is one of Perth’s best-kept secrets and with spring on the horizon, the excuse to visit even more justifiable!

Mrs Browns - Coffee venues need a vibe.

That combination of great service, a genuine heart for quality and a great location is the ultimate combo. A knockout punch that is simply magnetic.

Add a beachfront location that is perhaps overlooked, or maybe just something we locals have become a little too used to, and you start to understand why Mrs Browns draws such a crowd and such a following for her coffee, smoothies and other tasty treats.

Mrs Browns uses a bold and distinctive single origin, Monsoon Malabar. Many of you will know it as the coffee that forms the basis of our Up North Blend, so if you’re looking to experience that distinctive Monsoon Malabar character in the wild, Mrs Browns is about as close as you’ll get.

You’ll find Mrs Browns in various locations around Safety Bay Road (most commonly Donald Dr boat ramp), just a stone’s throw from where I learnt to snorkel, surf at Pengos and give a few occy to some old Italian fellas back in the day after diving for them.

Her coffee is well worth taking on as part of the regular morning routine, or simply building into a morning well spent beachside or being active.

They’ve got a freshly renovated coffee van serving up delicious Little Fish Old Mate Blend, along with some seriously good home-baked goodies. And if you’re keen to take the coffee home, they usually have plenty of Little Fish retail bags on hand too!

Waroona, where the air is clean and the lemons are free… where you can find them. 🍋

They’re also dangerously close to my parents — great for lunch, but not so great for the job list I just can’t seem to get through. 😂

Typica Mejorado. Rare variety. Seriously interesting coffee. Available as Filter and Espresso.

Colombia, Typica Mejorado, Thermal Shock, Washed

This isn’t your typical coffee. Typica Mejorado is a rare and intriguing coffee variety, most commonly associated with Panama. The team at Finca Las Quebraditas in Huila, Colombia, have taken this variety and grown it at altitude, reaching up to 1,850m.

But the variety is only part of the story.

After careful harvesting, the cherries are depulped and undergo a controlled fermentation. The coffee then goes through thermal shock, a carefully controlled temperature treatment during processing designed to influence and intensify the coffee’s aromatic character.

In simple terms: variety gives the coffee its potential, while processing helps shape what ends up in the cup.

The result is seriously expressive. Think juicy raspberry, white peach, delicate rose-like florals and a sweet, lingering finish.

It’s a great example of what makes specialty coffee so exciting. A rare variety, grown in a unique environment and paired with experimental processing, all while staying rooted in traditional Colombian farming.
