Story Time - 3 months after opening Tulip & Oak our too-hot-to-trot friend & realtor came in for her usual hot chocolate - she mentioned that across the road were thinking about selling - me being me and could barely hide my excitement I said how much we loved the old shop! That night I went home and told Bryce and he said why don't we just try to buy it all!

And you all think I'm the crazy one!

Having no clue if it was possible, we had a walk through and fell in love with all the possibilities and in December 2024 we started the next step of our adventure!

We've been working very hard since and still get as excited as we were during that walk through - these buildings are just so old, so cool and their potential is bloody endless! We are so grateful we have the opportunity to bring them back to life!

Let me introduce our buildings, so the next time I’m talking your ear off about them you know which one I’m talking about, our plans change constantly - so they will become whatever they're meant to be whenever the timing is right!

The Old Milk Bar -
Originally a Milk Bar & Confectionary but hasn’t had anything in it for a very long time!

Lost Time -
Once the old thriving General Store owned by the sweetest family, now our Coffee House & Curiosities shop!

The Old Shop -
Ahhh this beauty, once was Branch’s Drapery and has a *history of many before it - stores filled with everything and anything you could need but another one that hasn’t had a business running in it for a long time!

2/3 of these spaces are in need of a lot of love, hard work and creativity - in our lifetime will be something again that will hopefully add to our town!

We’re so keen to grow into these buildings, the ideas are flowin’ but the only way we can do that is if more people know our town even exists - so will you help us achieve our dreams of reviving Ringarooma and putting our awesome town back on the map?

G'day guys, being that I have never properly introduced ourselves, I think it's time we officially did for the lucky ones who don’t know us!

Social media isn’t our strong suit, we’re lucky that we have a in-person community but for a lot of people theirs is online, we would like to give you a little taste of our lifestyle here in Ringarooma, our picturesque valley, our genuine hospitality and the characters that make up our community!

I’m Kell I like rock ’n’ roll, banter and anything old - people, music, houses, furniture and styling. I spend most of my time making fun of myself and others, thinking about new ideas for Ringarooma and running 50 miles an hour!

Bryce - he's more cool, calm & collected, he grounds me, enjoys music, b**r and just “loves” helping my ideas come to life. A great cook and a passionate wood worker!

Bryce & I are originally from Melbourne, both in our industries for 16 years me working in hospitality in different venues in the Gold Coast, Canada and Melbourne. Bryce a Cabinet Maker who gained experience in Melbourne, Albury and has here in Tassie!

When we met we instantly hit it off, bonding over g&t’s, Essendon footy club and music, it was the start of our own adorable fairy tale.

It wasn't long before the call to Tassie got too strong and we “boldly” decided to buy the cheapest house in Tassie without having set foot in the state. 5 years on and the rest is history we fell in love with the town, the valley and its people, we are now on a mission to help revitalise Ringarooma having taken on the old general store now Lost Time, a run down milk bar, an old shop and a 100 year old house - the opportunities and the growth for our town is endless!

Lost Time is the start of something new and it feels like it was always meant to be, just like it did when we first moved to Ringarooma, we are so grateful for all that brought us here and now the next stage of our journey begins and we want to take you along for the ride!

We’re passionate about revitalising our town and we will need your help to Make Some Noise For Ringarooma!

G'day guys,

Reminder we will be closed tomorrow Saturday the 29th of August but happy to say we will be back to normal next week.

Pickles will be home from her holiday and I will be back in the shop trading as normal, we cannot thank you all enough for your understanding and kindness during this hard time!

Thanks so much to Sarah for holding down the fort while we have been away, you're truly the best and we appreciate all you have done for us and for my family!

Hey again everyone,

Firstly, I’d like to thank you all so much for your offers to help and supportive kind words - unfortunately we will need to close the shop next Saturday as well.

It's with a very heavy heart that I have had to say goodbye to a very important person in my life and because of that I just need to be here with my family.

We are so grateful for everyones understanding and cannot thank Sarah enough for stepping up for us and my family at this hard time.

Please continue to give Sarah your understanding and patience until we are back to normal.

Lost Time will be closed this Saturday the 22nd and next Saturday the 29th of August.

G'day guys!

Unfortunately due to an important family matter I need to be elsewhere this week, due to that we will have to be closed on Saturday and Sarah will be running solo for most of the week so please be patient if waiting a little longer than usual.

Truly sorry for any inconvenience, I am where I am meant to be right now and appreciate Sarah for being willing and able to keep the store open.

We hope all things will be running normal next week but that might not be the case, I will keep you updated.

Celebrations at the Centre of the Universe!

In the last week we've been so lucky to have our first ever group bookings!

We couldn't even fit 18 people in the last shop at once and now we've got groups coming before golf, families meeting for birthdays and buses coming for lunch!

It means so much to us, group bookings are a game changer for small businesses like ours especially in winter! We can't thank you enough!

Barney Wise himself told me to call it Celebrations at the centre of the Universe and I couldn't agree more.

Even if it's not technically correct (story from the newspaper clippings to come soon), this shop is the centre of our Universe and if you want to come celebrate something too or bring the gang for lunch, give us a call to reserve a table and we'll see ya when we're lookin' at ya!

Thanks again to everyone that has been a support to us since opening, we are so excited to grow with this store and I already have so many ideas of where we can take this!

Thanks to everyone who participated in our school holiday activities, I think I probably had more fun than the kids 😂

It was really nice seeing all the parents get involved with the scavenger hunt, I had heaps of fun watching you all try to figure it out!

The judges have chosen the winners of our colouring competition!
