But the real star of the show is the Curry Sauce.

House-made. Rich. Proper flavour.

This recipe goes way back, it was taught to me by the old Pommie bloke who ran Gateway Fish & Chips down in Success/Cockburn (opposite the Gate Bar and Bistro, if you know then ya know 😉) back in 2006, when my parents had the bakery there. Real old-school takeaway knowledge passed down and refined over time.

This isn’t just food, it’s history, flavour and comfort in a box.

well we didn't think we would see this fish on the menu for awhile but here we are. fresh caught Shark Bay Pink Snapper. available until sold out and they sell out quickly. soft and delicate meat. sweet and mild flavours. definitely a fan favourite.

Well that was a bit hectic.
Just wanted to say thank you for all the support and to those that had to wait a little longer we do apologise. It was insanely busy, no matter the prep.. the fryers could not keep up so we hope you understand.
We are taking a break to recharge and will be closed Saturday, Sunday and Monday and will open again Tuesday.

Curry Sauce, Mushy Peas and Gravy are served chilled again to ensure speed and efficiency. Please reheat at home. Place into separate bowl/container, 2 minutes in the microwave.

Due to Cyclone Narelle it looking like Goldband Snapper will be limited in numbers.

The time has come for us to to adjust the price of Goldband Snapper.
With supply being very tough the last couple of month and fisherman wanting higher prices due to recent demersal fishing bans, we have to move forward.

Effective 3 March 2026 Goldband Snapper will be $29 per serve.
By doing this we can ensure consistent supply of fresh snapper and maintain that soft and delicate snapper everyone has come to love.

Alright guys this is possibly the last time for a long long time that pink snapper will be on the menu. Line caught in the Abrolhos Island by Ben Pethick on his FV Bowithick vessel.
Every time we get pink snapper in it goes like hot cakes.
Open til 8pm and then normal trading hours for Sat and Sun.
