Over the first two weekends of July, the Cathedral is hosting a Winterfest Market, raising funds (direct donations plus 10% of all market sales), for Monash Children’s Hospital. The programme includes a range of interactive prayer stations, and live performances by young musicians on Friday and Saturday. Opening hours: Sunday 5 July 2:00pm – 7:30pm, Friday 10 July 2:00pm – 6:00pm , Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 July 2:00pm – 7:30pm.

Melbourne, have Mercy!

Now open at NGV International, the world premiere of lcelandic artist Ragnar Kjartansson's new exhibition presents eight immersive video works exploring music, melancholy and humanity. See his iconic nine-screen installation The Visitors where musicians fill the rooms of a 19th-century mansion in New York to play a song in unison - alongside new works steeped in theatre, heartbreak and Kjartansson's signature humour. Ragnar Kjartansson: Mercy is now open daily until 4 October - only in Melbourne at NGV.

First look: a glitzy new Cartier exhibition has landed at National Gallery of Victoria. This exclusive exhibition features nearly 400 extravagant jewels, watches and jewellery from the iconic French luxury brand.

Steamrail Victoria is a volunteer-run non-profit organisation dedicated to the restoration and operation of vintage steam, diesel and electric locomotives and carriages.

60 years after its inception, Steamrail Victoria still operates regularly to destinations throughout the state and is often chartered by many groups and organisations for a special day out. The Vintage Train travels all over the Victorian railway network offering a variety of tours for all tastes, including weekend excursions to interesting and popular destinations.
