Bo Gurks is looking for experienced bar and front of house staff to join our team in Edithvale.

We are a busy, independently owned bar and restaurant known for craft beer, Australian whisky, cocktails, wood-fired pizza and great customer service. We’re after reliable hospitality professionals who can handle a fast-paced venue while still creating a fun and welcoming experience for customers.

What we’re looking for:
Previous bar and/or hospitality experience essential
Confident working busy service periods
Strong customer service and communication skills
Cocktail, beer and spirits knowledge highly regarded
Ability to work as part of a team
RSA required
Availability across nights and weekends essential
About the role:
Casual position
Approximately 15–30 hours per week depending on availability and experience
Mix of bar, floor and customer service duties

Bo Gurks is looking for a motivated junior team member (14–15 years old) to join our kitchen crew.

This role is perfect for someone wanting to learn real workplace skills in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

What we’re looking for:
✔ Willingness to work evenings and weekends
✔ Minimum availability of:
• 1 Friday OR Saturday night shift
• 1 mid-week shift
✔ Strong work ethic and reliability
✔ Attention to detail
✔ Positive attitude and willingness to learn

We understand many juniors play sport on weekends, but we are looking for committed team members who can balance both and be dependable when rostered on.

What you’ll learn:
🔹 Food handling and kitchen hygiene

Hump day is upon us. So why not head to Bo Gurks tonight for a dram of Australia's best Whisky. It is Whisky Wednesday after all!

Tonight we have for your tasting pleasure-

– Double Wood

A proper study in cask influence.

Finished across two woods, this one leans into layered complexity rather than just brute force:

👃 Nose: Stewed fruits, vanilla bean, toasted oak, hint of caramelised nuts
🥃 Palate: Dried apricot, toffee, baking spice, oak tannin structure building mid-palate
🔥 Finish: Long, warming — spice-driven with lingering sweetness and soft oak grip

This is a great example of how secondary maturation reshapes a spirit — rounding edges, adding depth, and pulling out those richer dessert notes without losing balance.

👉 If you’re into cask interplay, this is worth your time.
