Done!✅ Thank You for inviting me to share food and space with 25 beautiful souls at the Radical Rest Retreat! Yes, I WAS parked in the kitchen not resting radically- but something profound happened for me. I realised this morning, as I organised breakfast, that I’ve patched up a part of me that was a bit frayed. Leaving the cafe 18 months ago was really quite traumatic, I probably only realised that recently tbh. Preparing food and nourishing people this weekend reconnected me with the joy I used to get from this; just not all the other stuff that comes with running a hospo business! You guys nourished me with your appreciation: frankly I think I could have fed you baked beans on toast, you were just happy to not be cooking. 🤣

*managed to not picture and dinners or desserts!

It’s the time of year when the garden just churns out the good things. A busy weekend means I only had a look in today and hello….dinner!! !

Nothing says inadequate quite like trying to figure out what all the extra parts of your 10 year old 🇫🇷Magimix actually do.

Ok yes without a manual.

Also, finding the extra parts; and finding you are missing the extra parts that make them work.

This seems paradoxically Un-French to me? 🤷‍♀️

🚨 MISSING CAT – $1000 REWARD 🚨

💔 $1000 reward for the safe return of Gilbert

Gilbert vanished from Henry St, East Geelong at around 10am on Dec 9, 2025.

He is deeply loved and desperately missed.
Someone knows something! He’s either been stolen or something happened closer to home and got covered up (did he end up in a bin?) because he was simply here one minute and then gone. I just got a reminder from that he’s due for his health check and vaccines 😢. I can only pray if he’s been stolen that he runs away and end up at a vet who will scan him and connect the dots!

We’ve had major heartbreak in our family in the last few weeks and Gilbert’s safe return is the tonic we all need, please keep an eye out if you’re on other lost pages or Gumtree etc..

You can remain anonymous. We just need to know what happened. Somewhere, somebody knows.

💃Feeling a tad flat so I’m pumping up the tyres with a veggie - and protein- stacked, warm salad, made from what was left from last weeks shop! Here’s a lil run down:

-Head of Purple Cauliflower, roasted
-Broccolini - blanched, disguising its limpness
-Kale - what was left that wasn’t yellow
- Can of organic chickpeas
- Organic grape tomatoes- geez, they lasted well!
- Grated Carrot
- Baby hand preserved chargrilled peppers I found in a jar from when I took over the cafe in 2018 - they’re perfect!
- Toasted Australian pumpkin seeds (the big green ones, can’t beat em
-A block of Tempeh turned into crumbs and fried in olive oil (OMG TEMPEH 🏋🏼‍♂️)

Dressing is flash olive oil, pomegranate molasses and lemon juice.

🌶️I had a craving for Mexican, and being Summer, I decided to play around with the elements and make a return to my scrumptious favourite nutty ‘bean’ mix. This is so good and super high in protein. I’ll add that I use the version from my classes that has sprouted sunflower seeds as a base, but I hadn’t sprouted and also decided to play with recipe from her lovely Vegful book.

I’ve made a few variations on her recipe here:

1 Cup Walnuts ( mine were activated)
1/2 Cup Brazil, Almonds, Cashew ( activated)
1/2 Cup h**p seeds
3/4 cup Sundried Tomatoes - I used dehydrated Roma tommies from a couple of summers ago and added a TBSP of good olive oil to soften them
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp ground coriander
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1.5 TBSP tamari or soy sauce
1 TBSP Balsamic vinegar

Blitz that up in a food processor and voila!!(or hola!)

🍅If you don’t already dry your excess tomatoes - highly recommend- easiest way to replace paste and to give tomato dishes an oomph! Plus, last forever.

I also added savoury brown rice (basically spices and stock. Parmesan and sour cream.

Usual additions of fresh veg, hand made salsa (fresh organic grape tomatoes yum!) Guac with lime juice, and fresh coriander from the garden before it all bolts skywards.

Scrumptious!!! 💃

Sigh. I’m mid way through a massive clear out of the cake kitchen. I came upon these nifty canvas bags I had made a few years back! The one in the pic has been washed and used a bit, but the rest -8 of them- are brand noveau and up for grabs to the first in best dressed (actually zero judgement on your dressing choice) Also feel free to jump on Marketplace and see what is left of my Feast/ Raw Ambition life on there. (Oh, so dramatic!) I’m still keeping plenty of things in case I feel the urge to cake but trust me, there’s plenty to move along too! *I’m also contemplating changing my Insta name but we’ll see bout that. One personality change at a time people.

Gilbert is missing since Tuesday 9 December from East Geelong (Garden/Henry)

He’s a very friendly dog/cat/homebody: He has a small social circle and limited time outside. We absolutely know if he could get home he’d be home as he is very attached to his humans. Did anyone in this area see anything? He has accidentally hitched a ride out of town previously, so he may have gotten into a tradie vehicle? Please keep an eye out and DM me any info, THANK YOU. (he’s microchipped and not at GAWS-or emergency vet).

Long story short, she’s a woman who ‘gets’women and her work on herself and with others is so empowering and energising! Can I say, THE comfiest beds in the world and amazing views and really reasonable AND far out, I’ll even make my famous ganache. We can do ganache face masks- I mean avocado and cacao for starters - how good!!
