📣Important Update📣

Hi everyone,
We regret to inform you that due to the recent heavy rainfall, our local oyster farms are currently closed, which means we’re unable to source fresh oysters at this time.

As a result, our shop will be closed until Friday, pending supply availability. We’re hoping to reopen then if the farms are able to resume harvesting.

We appreciate your understanding and will keep you updated if anything changes.

Thank you Pulse Tasmania, what a great article celebrating our local champion 🏆 🥇

Zoe Jacobson will become the first woman to represent Australia at the World Oyster Opening Championships in Galway, Ireland, after winning the John Susman Medal.

Jacobson manages 42 Degrees in Dunalley and is its sole oyster shucker, having started as an oyster packer in Sorell straight out of school.

With no room for her on the shucking table, she taught herself after hours, copying what she had watched the experienced shuckers do during the day.

Jacobson said the win was still sinking in and she hoped it would inspire more people to learn the trade.

She will head to Ireland in September, where competitors must shuck 30 oysters quickly and cleanly.

Wow! We did it Tasmania! Our very own state champion Zoe Jacobson has won the national competition at the Narooma Oyster Festival and will be representing Australia at the world oyster opening championships in galway, Ireland!!

We're excited to be travelling to the Narooma Oyster Festival this weekend to compete in the national oyster shucking competition! 🦪🔪

But don't worry, our shop will remain OPEN all weekend, with our wonderful staff ready to serve the fresh oysters and seafood you love.
