Renovating, OPENING and operating my cafe my way was a 5 year plan to secure my building
Currently tenants are making their decision on the lease of the building
Either way after standing up
7 days a week for
6 years
Realising I am no longer a spring chicken 🐓
I have made the voluntary decision to CLOSE MUKI CAFE and change direction
- I am going to relocate and further my studies
- Enjoy having days off
- I am going to travel
- Spoil those who love me
- Ride my horse , walk the bush, the beaches and enjoy my life giving thanks for my many blessings
I feel extremely fortunate to have held a DREAM and actually made it come true - Not everyone gets to say that !
Yes I can hear Frank Sinatra singing ( I did it my way ! )
Learned a lot………..
- Lost a few friends along the way
Who simply did not like the fact I’d outgrown the box they had me in !
- Feel privileged & settled to have gathered many new like minded friends ♥️
To my customers
- all those cups of coffee ☕️ & countless conversations around our big wood fire
- solving political issues
- family grief
- relationship disfunction
- local ongoing socio-economic issues
- Along with all those shared moments while I was flipping your burger 🍔 or battering - crumbing or grilling your FISH 🐠have truly meant the world
Our space has been so much more than a business - it’s been a community meeting place and a home of stories, friendships and familiar faces

I will always carry the memories we have made moving forward
I am a bush cook & I love to BAKE but I was completely unfamiliar with takeaway food when I purchased this building as I was raised in the bush it was not a routine purchase for our family - I want to thank the staff who were loyal to me and imparted their knowledge as my business grew
You helped me make this cafe feel like HOME
