Yesterday was one of the hardest and most heartbreaking days we have ever experienced at Lavish.
One of our customers suffered a medical emergency while at our cafรฉ and, despite everyoneโs efforts to help, sadly he couldnโt make it.
As a young couple who built Lavish with so much love, we never imagined that something like this could happen in our little cafรฉ. We are still processing everything that happened, and our hearts are deeply with the customerโs family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.
To all of our customers who were there yesterday and witnessed what happened, we are truly sorry that you had to experience such a confronting and heartbreaking moment. We know it may have been upsetting and difficult to process, and our thoughts are with each and every one of you. ๐ค
We also want to say a huge thank you to our amazing Lavish team. Yesterday was frightening and emotional, but you stayed strong, supported each other and did everything you could to help. As your owners, we are incredibly grateful and proud of you.
A heartfelt thank you to the paramedics and Dubbo Local Police who responded so quickly and compassionately. Your professionalism, care and kindness yesterday meant so much to everyone at Lavish.
And today, something happened that touched our hearts deeply. Some of the paramedics came back to Lavish just to check on us and see if we were okay. That simple act of kindness meant more to us than we can put into words. ๐ค
We are also incredibly grateful to everyone who has reached out to us since yesterday โ everyone who sent messages, called or simply checked in to make sure we were okay.
A special thank you to the Riverdale Woolworths team for your beautiful flowers, chocolates and kindness. We truly didnโt expect it, and it meant so much to us and our whole team.
Most of all, we feel incredibly grateful to call Dubbo home. โค๏ธ
When something heartbreaking happens, you truly see the strength and kindness of a community. The love and support we have received from people around Dubbo has reminded us why we are so proud to be part of this community.
We came to Dubbo with a dream of building something of our own, but over time, this place has become so much more than just where we run our business. Dubbo has become our community, our home and a place where we have met so many beautiful people.
Thank you, Dubbo, for surrounding us with so much kindness when we needed it most. We will never forget it.
Yesterday reminded us how precious and fragile life is. Please look after yourselves, hug your loved ones a little tighter, and be kind to one another. ๐ค
