Serendipity offers four top quality en-suite bedrooms with plush percale fine linen. Guests may choose between single beds or king size beds. All our en-suite bedrooms are air-conditioned. Complimentary canoes to our guests to explore the water-ways. Serendipity's Restaurant founded in 2001 by the restaurant owners Rudolf and Lizelle Stolze has been rated as a World Class Restaurant under executive chef, Lizelle Stolze who is crowned with numerous awards and qualifications. Apart from excellent local and international experience Lizelle is a dux Cum laude student of Prue Leith Academy of Food and Wine where she gained top honours as a student. She has also lectured at Prue Leith Academy of Food and Wine as a professional lecturer. She is a Fellow Member of the South African Chefs Association and a Honoraire Culinaire of the Chaine des Rotisseurs. Superb cuisine, friendly and professional service and wonderful wines in a setting that is graceful but relaxed is the credo for Serendipity’s South African inspired gourmet fare. Along the rocky shores and tidal inlets of the Cape, tjokka (Cape Hope squid) has long been a staple of South African coastal life.

𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗽𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁 our tribute to this heritage ingredient goes beyond tradition, it’s an exercise in modern sustainability, where we use the entire catch.

Chef Lizelle Stolze presents Tjokka Three Ways, showcasing crispy tentacles, sautéed ribbons and tubes stuffed with smoked salami.

The dish is brought together with a clarified ‘viskop sop’ made with wild prenia, fennel and snoek heads and a drizzle of preserved lemon mayonnaise.
