OK 9 days to go before I hand over to Lupa. No nostalgia I don't get attached to work spaces. However very excited about Spain and my visit to the black pig (Patta Negra) ham plant. These are my 2 year cured Patta Bianco's. Legs of suckling pig selling at R650.00 each.
Only 3 left, still have a 3 legged pig fattening on the farm.

Hello

Well its been a great ride and eventually I have decided to hang up my pots and do only DAY Work. I have sold to LUPA who will be opening in August 2014 after extensive renovations.
IN THE MEAN TIME

Persimmon, prawn and baby green salad with a roasted lemon vinaigrette!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! on the menu today.

MY NEXT THING
I will still be sticking to my knitting and making Charcuterie for the trade and public which you will be able to order through my web site. I will have a link from la storia site to my new sight. Look out for BLACK PIG. We will be up and trading in about 3 months time.
First off to Spain to learn some new recipes.

Deboned red wine oxtail wrapped in caul onto a Gorgonzola polenta tonight
A good pot of minestrone already cooking served with a sun dried tomato and basil muffin.
We keep going from summer into winter and back to summer again. So make the most of the cold weather meals. tomorrow could be summer again.
