Ever wondered about the porcupine quills used in some of our distinctive lampshades?

Porcupines naturally shed their quills through grooming, rubbing against trees and normal movement. The quills used for our lampshades are collected through this natural shedding process, making the sourcing eco friendly and cruelty free.

So, there is more behind these lights than meets the eye.

10 YEARS OF THE DAILY COFFEE CAFÉ – WEST COAST 🎉

Today is a very special day for us as we celebrate 10 incredible years of The Daily Coffee Café – West Coast. ❤️☕
Ten years ago, on 3 October 2016, we opened our doors with a dream, a little courage, and a whole lot of passion.
What started as a new coffee shop has grown into so much more. Along the way, we have shared thousands of coffees, breakfasts, lunches, conversations, celebrations, laughter, and memories with the most wonderful people.
Our customers have become familiar faces, friends, and part of the Daily family. Our staff have given their time, energy, hearts and talents to help make The Daily what it is today. And through all the busy days, challenges, changes and milestones, we have kept going — one cup of coffee, one meal and one customer at a time.
10 years is not just a number. It is 10 years of people.
10 years of friendships.
10 years of hard work.
10 years of memories.
10 years of early mornings and long days.
10 years of learning, growing and believing in the dream.
10 years of faith and blessings
To every customer who has walked through our doors, supported us, recommended us, celebrated with us and kept coming back — thank you. Without you, there would be no Daily.
To every member of our team, past and present — thank you for being part of our story.
A special mention to Whitley who has been with us from the start with uninterrupted service.

GOOD COFFEE BRINGS PEOPLE TOGETHER.

But before it reaches your cup, there is a journey behind it.

Our signature blend starts with 100% Arabica beans sourced from Uganda and Ethiopia, selected for the character they bring to our coffee. From there, the beans are roasted for The Daily in Stellenbosch by The Coffee Roasting Agency, using a fluid bed roasting process, also known as air roasting, to create the consistency we look for in every cup.

Then it becomes your Daily.

Your first coffee of the morning. The coffee across the table from a friend. The cup beside your laptop. The one you order without even looking at the menu.
