Its been 38 weeks and 6 days since we closed our doors due to Covid-19. Although we miss the days when we could prepare all these yummy treats for you using the absolute freshest ingredients 🍍 🥗🍒🍔, the current situation does not deem it worthwhile to open our doors again. Your safety remains one of our top priorities and for this reason, as well as the associated impacts of the pandemic, we are sad to announce that the Big Tree Cafe will remain closed for an undisclosed period of time.

The short hike to the Tsitsikamma Big Tree is however still open. For more information on the hike and operating times of the national park, please contact Garden Route National Park - Tsitsikamma section on 042 281 1607.

The Big Tree in Tsitsikamma's Garden Route National Park in the Eastern Cape has been officially reopened to the public.

We were super stoked to be part of the official unveiling of the Big Tree Facility Centre by Minister and the Eastern Cape Premier, Mr Oscar Mabuyane. This initiative was funded by the Department of Tourism and the new facilities are sure to attract more visitors to this part of the Garden Route National Park.
