This past Sunday, I had the pleasure of embarking on a scenic road trip with a friend to Yzerfontein, where we purchased freshly picked basil from Behind the Shed . We savored a delightful coffee break on the stoep with the farm's warm owner, indulging in coffee and biscuits. A visit to the Farmstall yielded an exciting array of homemade pies and sourdough bread. Following a meticulous process of transforming the basil into pesto, we have replenished our stock, paving the way for crafting a delectable Basil Pesto Pasta Salad. Join us at our upcoming market appearance at Weskus School this Saturday, where you can explore our diverse selection of homemade products.
