A collective of leading South African wineries named the Cape Cru has been giving Amsterdam a taste of wines from the south.

Hundreds of locals and tourists thronged to Zuiderkerk for the occasion, and Johann de Wet from De Westhof Estate joined his compatriots in offering the best of the Cape.

As families, loved ones and friends get together on this special day, sharing the bounties of life with others as well as the outpouring of love and joy remains Christmas’s greatest gift. And of course, a glass of fine wine adds to the festive spirit, as it has done for centuries. Merry Christmas!

Inside you’ll find a bottle of Limestone Hill Chardonnay 2025 and our elegant Lilya Rosé 2025, beautifully paired with freshly picked pecan nuts sustainably farmed by 4th-generation Daniel & Lilya de Wet.

They hand-harvest and pack the nuts themselves, with all proceeds supporting the De Wetshof Estate Crèche and After-School Programme. You’ll also enjoy our tasting-room favourites: homemade strawberry and apricot jams, lovingly prepared by our team using fruit grown right here on the estate.

To complete the experience, we’ve added a set of cheese knives and a locally manufactured cheese board crafted in the shape of our iconic tasting-room façade. The perfect finishing touch to this proudly De Wetshof collection.
