Rodney (Anglo-Indian) and Robert (Polish), aim to bring their mother’s favourite dishes to your table here in Riebeek Kasteel. Anglo-Indian food is probably the best of all fusion cuisine, it’s a unique combination
of European and Indian dishes born out of the colonial past of the British Raj, Portuguese and French in India. Poland has been occupied many times by various powers including Germany,

Russia, The Tatars, Austria and Hungary. Polish cuisine has been influenced by the food styles
of Central and Eastern Europe and the Mongolians. In addition, Poland also had a Queen of Italian decent, Queen Bona, who brought elements of Italian cuisine
into Polish food. Pasta parcels similar to ravioli were given the name Pierogi and pasta potato dumpling Kopytka (Gnocchi). So take time to explore what we have to offer on this culinary journey from East to West. All dishes are cooked to order (so please be patient), we use only carefully sourced fresh, local and organic ingredients. You’ll find South African favourites such as pork belly, oxtail, lamb shank and steaks, on the menu, but we’ve given them
a bit of an Euro-Asian twist!
