Your friend is 25 he already has a house a car and getting married. While you on th other side nothing seems to be working out for you.
Well you decide that you want to start a business. You actually want to compete with your friend. Your friend already owns a GTI.
That affects you now because your coming into business with that mentality of I want to get rich overnight. It's 2018 your first year ever in business yet by December you want to be owning a brand new GTI.
That is when you start making stupid business decisions. Instead of you starting small and selling fat cookies or opening a chicken dust you want to go for that fancy business. By the time you reach age 30 you tell people that you've been hustling for 5 year's but you got nothing to show for it. Actually you haven't been hustling you've been competing and looking for short cuts.
Your friend may buy a GTI at 25 bit there's absolutely nothing wrong with your buying a GTI at 33 life is not a race.
I know a guy whom at 31 had a degree struggled to find a job. He went and studied became a security guard. He worked for three year's as a security guard then opened his security company.
This year his turning 37 and his company makes R60000 pm he bought a house cash last year and this year his getting married.
Some of his friends who were laughing at him when he was a security guard are still renting and don't qualify for bonds.
My point is there's this kind of race going on in this generation you see someone accomplishing something on social media then you also want to accomplish it overnight.
That squashes your creativity because now you have this urgency to make it overnight.
I've learned the very hard way that there's nothing wrong with growing slow competition is dangerous. No one is ahead or behind in life. Everyone has his own race. That's how you should look at it.
