Words will never be enough to express how much these last few days have meant to us. To everyone who came to share a meal, sip a coffee, or simply say goodbye - thank you. Seeing your faces, hearing your laughter, and feeling your warmth reminded us why Trixie’s was never just a café, but a home filled with family.

This Friday, 29 August, marks the very last day of Trixie’s Café. It’s a bittersweet moment for us, and we’d love to spend it with all of you who have made this journey so special. 🌸✨
We’ll be closing with one of your favourites—our Friday Burger Special: a juicy Chicken or Beef Burger with chips and a refreshing drink for just R125.

The time has come for our very last week together at Trixie’s Café. This Friday, 29 August, we’ll be serving our final plates and pouring our last cups of coffee.

It is with great sadness that I share that Trixie’s Café will be closing its doors at the end of August 2025.
We almost made it to a full five years.

When I opened Trixie’s in October 2020, my dream was simple: to provide work for the incredible people I had the privilege of working with who lost their jobs during COVID. I am proud that we achieved that, and even prouder that we were able to sustain it for this long.

I am deeply grateful to have negotiated with the new tenant to take over all of our staff, so they will continue to provide for their families. That brings me great comfort.

Trixie’s has been my heart and soul. We laughed, we cried, and we created countless memories together. For this last week, through the tears, we will try to do the same.

If you ever crossed our welcome mat, I invite you to come and say goodbye. Tomorrow will be our last Saturday of trading.
