On Tuesday 8 September, the w**emaker from De Kleine Wijn Koöp comes to Bohemia. 🤩

Famous for putting invented beasts on their labels, these w**es will definitely push you beyond your creature comfort zone! 🦁

Pouring the menagerie: Wynand Grobler himself, owner, w**emaker and Cellar Master. Six rare creations will put you under a spell, from the shapeshifting Kreatuur Wit and Rooi to a Grenache as scarce as hen’s teeth. 🦷

If you don’t know the name, know this: in 2008, cousins Adi and Hein Badenhorst bought a run-down farm called Kalmoesfontein on the Paardeberg, its cellar silent since the 1930s. 🤐

They gave it an exuberant new voice and helped spark the revolution that turned the Swartland into one of the most talked-about w**e regions in South Africa. ✨ 🎶

Adi Badenhorst grew up at Groot Constantia, where his grandfather ran the estate for 46 years. 🍇

First w**e at thirteen. Harvests at Château Angélus. Nine years as w**emaker at Rustenberg. An illustrious beginning indeed. ✨

Ultimately , Adi traded the polish and sophistication of Stellenbosch for the rough and tumble of the Swartland. He chose to make his name amidst dust, granite and wheat fields - and many have since followed in his pioneering footsteps. 🦶🌾

Kalmoesfontein is a family farm in the fullest sense. Wife, mother, brothers, cousins, all stitched into it, a clan bound (in their own words) “by blood or w**e.” 🫶
