What shall I render to Jehovah for He has done so very much for me.
In 2016 I took a bold decision to start all over again, venture into the unknown. What a scary time that was, a lot of uncertainty and yet so much self belief.
I enrolled to study as a pastry chef, that year I was flying everyweekend from Durban to Pretoria to attend classes. I had 2 young daughters at the time, I have never been so stretched in my entire life.
The reason I chose this academy was simple really I wanted to study with the best and gain credibility, and I knew I didn't want to work in a professional kitchen starting from the bottom.
The end goal was to start a business(okay this is the part where someone should have stopped me🤣🤣.. Story for another day).
I have worked so hard over the past 7 years, tried everything, knocked on many doors, cried, had back to back chiro appointments because at one point my body was falling apart from the long hours of hard labour.
I was actually surprised to find out that I had been nominated by my peers for this award. I'm thankful.

I am grateful to my now 4 kids for loving me through it all and thinking I'm still Super Mom ♥️
I appreciate everyone that has embraced the Desbaked brand.
This is start of another beautiful journey.
# # The fact that I met Dame Prue Lieth is an honor (in my hood we call it a big industry flex🤣).
Let me stop here for now.
