Sunny and fresh in Piketberg which is the ideal weather for Planet Potjie. Today we debut our Chimichurri Sirloin Steaks and feature the Satay Babi once more. Beef Rendang is back with a bang as is our Durban Lamb Curry. A limited number of Bali Chicken Satays are available so first come first served on those! Today we debut our Satay Babi - pork skewers grilled Bali style and served with rice, salad, peanut dipping sauce and sambal. Pair that with our very own Flying Fig Cocktail- perfect for lunch or dinner. Our Springbok pizzas bounced out of the wood fire oven again last night so if you haven’t tried that what are you waiting for? Take a look at our Calendar which shows dates in which we are able to waive our venue hire fee in the holiday spirit, for set menu bookings of over 20 people. This week at Voyager and the Flying Fig things get ‘back to normal’ with our usual weekly programme. Today breakfast on the Veranda starts at 9am - come for piping hot almond croissants, ice-cold coffee milkshakes or one of our Blerry Naas smoothies. Lunch till 5pm. Thursday we have a full menu and offer our Come As You Are pizza and b**r happy hour from 5-7pm, and we close at 10pm. Come and try the Springbok Pizza which was a hit on the Heritage weekend and is likely to stay on the menu by popular demand. Friday is Wok Your Baby focussing on our extensive wok menu and on Saturday and Sunday we will have full menus again with all our delicious ribs, salads, potjie curries and roasts. The weather outlook for Piketberg is sunny and hot so our new misters in the giant fig tree will be on to keep you cool. If there was ever a day to celebrate our South African culture and heritage through food it’s today, Braai Day! Join us under the giant fig tree for a very special menu of African-Asian fusion including the new Sandveld Springbok Salad, Proper bosveld Potjiekos served with Vetkoek, mixed grill with Roosterkoek & Bredie. As usual it’s Come As You Are piz- and b**r happy hour from 5-7pm, and today we also feature a tangy sesame soy Springbok pizza and Boerewors Pizza to sit proudly next to the Don’s Bokkoms. Prepping is half the fun! We are getting in touch with our South African heritage in preparation for our collaboration with EDGE | Cape Town Restaurant Group this weekend. Purposefully culled fresh local springbok carpaccio from Morgenster farm is on the menu on Saturday as well as Chef Vusi’s take on local lamb and west coast mussels from Saldana. Marianna’s authentic Malva pudding made the traditional way with indigenous geranium. An absolute treat.
