After a restful winter break, the team at FABER is delighted to welcome you back.

Our doors are open once again and we can't wait to share another season of fresh, farm-to-fork flavours and exceptional Avondale wines.

As the season comes to a close, we'd like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has been part of another unforgettable chapter at FABER.

From retaining our Eat Out 2 Stars and JHP Gourmet Guide 1 Plate, to celebrating beautiful weddings, enjoying live music events and welcoming both familiar faces and first-time diners to experience our farm-to-fork cuisine, breathtaking views, and Avondale wines – it's been a truly remarkable season.

Please note that Faber will be closed for our annual winter break from 22 June and will reopen on Wednesday, 22 July 2026.

We look forward to welcoming you back soon for another season of memorable moments around the table.

If you've been meaning to enjoy our Winter Special, this is your moment.

Join us for one last celebration of the season before FABER closes for a short winter break. Enjoy a 2-course menu featuring a choice of two seasonal mains and two comforting desserts, thoughtfully prepared with the farm-to-table philosophy at the heart of every FABER experience.

Treat Dad to a relaxed and memorable afternoon on the farm, where he can sit back, enjoy a glass of Avondale red wine, and settle into the warmth of our cosy fireplace while we take care of the rest. Our contemporary farm-to-fork menu will be served as a 3-course family-style sharing experience, designed to bring everyone together around the table.

The lunch will begin with our FABER bread board, followed by seasonal sharing starters, a plated main course and a plated dessert.

This , we're celebrating South Africa's most versatile white grape with a pairing that surprises and delights.

Our Dry-Aged Grassfed Beef Tartare – served with parmesan, chive, pickled jalapeño, bone marrow, grain mustard emulsion and fried Mondial potato – finds an unexpected harmony alongside Avondale's organically farmed Anima Chenin Blanc.

Whole-bunch fermentation of 20% of the grapes in Amphora and Qvevri lends Anima its unique texture, body and lingering finish, showcasing the remarkable versatility of Chenin Blanc.
