The Country Kitchen The independantly run Eseltjiesrus Country Kitchen is adjacent to The Donkey Sanctuary and opposite the McGregor Winery. Vegetarian dishes are available.

The Kitchen serves hearty breakfasts, light lunches or something more substantial such as Coq au Vin, Oxtail Ragout and Lamb Curry. Sweets include chocolate brownies, fresh fruit sorbet, waffles, fresh scones and many more delights. Fully licenced. Regret no credit card facility available.

With the moving of the donkey sanctuary The Country Kitchen closed its doors. Debbie is now running Country Kitchen Catering.

She caters for small events and private meals specializing in gourmet picnic baskets, homemade iced teas, lemonade and ginger beers, fruit sorbets and a variety of vegetarian options.

This week marked our 5th Anniversary in The Country Kitchen. The before and after photos show just how much we have grown.With the Donkey Sanctuary planning on their move at the end of 2013 there will be some changes here too-starting with our name, but the food and charm you have come to expect from us is here to stay at our present address.
