Hoping everyone had a lovely 'Second Chance Monday'!☕✨
We were closed yesterday for Women's Day, but we were back today and it was so lovely to see you all again!
Running a small business comes with its learning curves.
Recently, I forgot to update our hours on one social media platform, which led to a one-star review and a bit of a stir.
While changing our hours back to regular today (after being closed yesterday), I stumbled upon a treasure trove of incredible five-star reviews I hadn't seen yet! Swipe through to see some of the lovely and kind words shared! ❤️

Taking care of our amazing team is so important to us.
That is why we close three times a year for a week at a time so that Marquin Brikkels Hencia Brikkels and Lindsay Brikkels can get their well-deserved annual leave.

Seeing your kind reviews reminds us exactly why we love what we do. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your loyalty and for making it possible for us to make a living out of our little shop. We appreciate you more than words can say!

📢 Long Weekend Notice! ☕️🎉

Hey Chapter 7 family!
We will be CLOSED this coming Monday, 10 August, for the public holiday.
With the weekend looking set to be chilly and wet, it is officially coffee and treat weather! 🌧️🥐
Make sure to pop in before we close to stock up on your favorites so you don't run low over the long weekend.See you soon! ✨

From prepping ingredients to baking masterpieces—look at Lindsay go! 👩‍🍳✨
We are so incredibly proud to celebrate her amazing journey.
Lindsay started out helping us with basic kitchen prep work, and today, she is baking and icing these gorgeous cakes completely from start to finish! 🎂
Today, she learnt all about icing and ganache techniques from my mom, and turns out, she's a complete natural!

It is so incredibly unfair and frustrating to receive a 1 Star Review for having the audacity to go on vacation😡
Not allowed to mention any names, but you know who you are, and I sincerely hope you read this.

We are so sorry to have inconvenienced you by taking a (planned in advance) short break to rest and recharge.
While we did update our Facebook hours, put out a social media notice, and placed a sign on our counter prior to closing for the week, it seems we missed reaching you.
We deeply apologize that our human need for rest left a negative impression, and we hope to welcome you back during our normal operating hours."

🎂If you have ever visited us, you have likely tasted the magic Lindsay creates in the kitchen.
She is an absolute feast to work with, always bringing a bright smile and a fantastic sense of humour to the kitchen every single day.

We are officially reopening our doors after our vacation, and we brought back two special treasures from the beautiful town of De Rust to share with you.
We want these unique pieces to become a permanent part of our shop's story and history, but first, they need names—and we want you to choose them!🎨

We are taking a short, well-deserved break! CHAPTER 7 Coffee will be CLOSED next week from 15–19 June.
