Looks like the overnight rain has mostly moved through, and Kleinmond is settling into one of those moody coastal Mondays.

Clouds, a bit of wind, the sea doing its thing outside… and our wind covers are still up, so you can sit protected and enjoy the view without having to wait for perfect weather.

Honestly, the sea is good in every mood.

And from 4–8 PM, it’s burger night:

Friday in Kleinmond is looking properly coastal today.

The easterly picks up as we move through the afternoon, but that doesn’t mean giving up the sea. At Sandown Blues, our protected outside areas give you the view without taking the full brunt of the wind, and inside it’s warm and comfortable if you’d rather settle in there.

High tide is around 3:30 this afternoon, just before our Friday seafood platter starts at 4 PM.

For R295 per person:

125g calamari
4 tiger prawns
6 black mussels
Chips and salad

And if you’re heading to the live music evening at Kleinmond Town Hall at 8 PM tonight, make an evening of it and come down for an early seafood dinner first.

Kleinmond is giving us a very easy Tuesday today. Warm through lunchtime, light wind and a settled afternoon along the coast.

We’re also right in the middle of Southern Right Whale season in Walker Bay. There hasn’t been a confirmed fresh sighting we can point you to this morning, but September is one of the best times of year to keep an eye on the water while you’re out along this stretch of coastline.

So if you’re in Kleinmond today, make a little more of the day. Take the coastal drive, spend some time by the sea and stop in for lunch at Sandown Blues.
