It's been a hectic year, so many changes and so many challenges, yet we have come a long way my friends and comrades. People always say that the year was either a bad one or a good one and that the next year will be either worse or better than this one.

What they fail to understand is that we are to a large extend responsible for how our year turn out to be. we plan for each year and then sit back and hope that things will materialize the way we wish them to be.

You know what, my friends and comrades in this new struggle we must fight, called "economic freedom" to steal a phrase from my old friend and commander, Mr Julius Malema, all we need to do is do what we suppose to do. In my other life as a Personal Development & Business Coach, I often tell my clients that we must stop try to "think outside the box" the solve our problems.

Thinking outside of the box is misnomer, its a lie that have perpetrated for so many centuries that we started to believe in it and tried very hard to apply it to our lives, no wonder we fail so many times over.

When the Almighty God created us, humans, He made sure that everything you will ever need to prosper in life will come from inside of you and not from outside the box, so to speak. Therefore, my friends and comrades and brethren start to think inside the box to solve your problems and remember what the greatest Apostle, of all time, the Apostle Paul said; Our Sufficiency is from God! And if I may add something and not to the Word, but my own word; Our sufficiency is inside of us, "inside the box"

Now, on a lighter note! I wish you and all your families and friends close by and afar, a happy new year and make all your dreams come true!!! God's Speed and God Bless!!!!

Oh!! I almost forget, if you are in Upington tonight? We are having a NYE Celebration Party at the Kalahari Braai Hut. We starting at 21H00, gate fee of R20, smart casual and then we are going to count-down the seconds!!!!! Cheers; Salute to you All and enjoy your NYE wherever you are!!!!

To all my friends old and new, my family near and afar, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a Blessed Christmas Day. I would also like to extend my warm wishes and thanksgiving to your loved ones both present and those who are late today. The facebook question is as always; What have you been up to?
Well here it is!!!! Go check out our brand new website, its www.diekalaharibraaihut.co.za. We just launch it today and hopefully it will do some wonders to the "Hang-out" Please comment on it and say what you like and don't like? You should know by now that I value your input, your opinions and mostly your critic very much and would not want it any other way.

To answer the second part of that question, I might out of circulation for the next four (4) days as I will be conducting a Business Skills Development training/workshop for one the Solar energy companies operating this side.

So, my dear patrons, friends and also the hater's out there, if don't here from me until Friday, just know this is utter abandonment, I have to leave you for a short period.

So, if you are some around the Kalahari, pop in the Kalahari Braai Hut, who knows, it might just be your lucky night!!! The Germans has arrived in Upington to test their vehicles in the scorching heat of the Kalahari desert. Last week we had the English here to test the surface of the Hakskeenpan in the Kalahari where they will set up a new land-speed record, with the Bloodhound, as part of the Bloodhound Project.

So guess, if really want to know where Upington is? You should look somewhere in the European Union (LOL)!!!!!

You have now at this particular juncture, Germans, Spaniards, English, Portuguese and Italians here. What a truly International City!!!

But what makes me sad is that we don't market this city as such and put it on the map!!! A friend of mine developed the name "The Green Kalahari" a few years back and the authorities never made sure that this feature of the Kalahari Desert is exploited to its maximum to ensure that the people of the oasis benefit from its two main attractions the Sun and the River (Vines - Wine). Imagine the miracle the Mighty Orange River and the Blazing Razes of the Sun, has endowed this landscape with. Without the combination of the river and the sun, this would have been the most arid and dangerous landscape on earth

All I can say is "WOW". And what a privilege for me to have been afforded this opportunity to work here and opened a business here, and hopefully I will contribute much more than this and make a real change in the lives of the people here.

Good evening, my loyal patrons! My humble apologies for the inconvenience our early closure today may have caused you. The electricity in Upington and I believe most of the Northern Cape and the country were experiencing some power outages as part of Escom's scheduled power cuts. We were closed between 18H00 and 20H30, therefore we will be opened until 24H00.

Keep your eye on our page as from the 1st of December, we will be introducing our Holiday Schedule with fantastic offerings, so keep watching and keep liking and following us!!!!!

This is a shout out to all my old and new friends, who have not find the least bit an inconvenience to visit my restaurant page and show their appreciation, because of your support, I know now that I have to make this enterprise a huge success. To all our visitors and patrons, who have supported us in the last 8 weeks that we have been open, A Big Thank You To All!!! For those who experience some of our opening jitters, I would like to personally apologize and assure you that next time you visit us, we would have improved significantly, maybe not a 100%, but we will strive to please you and render exceptional service. Also a special and heartfelt thank you to those patrons and visitor who spread the word.
