Horteaculture Our Story
With years of experience in tea blending, our creations celebrate South African heritage and global tea excellence.

HorTeAculture is more than a tea company, it’s a platform for empowerment. We proudly employ individuals on the special needs spectrum, including those with Autism, Sensory Processing Disorder, ADHD, ADD, and Down Syndrome. The focus stems from our personal journeys with one founder raising a special needs child and the other navigating life on the spectrum. Our team demonstrates that exceptional

people can create extraordinary luxury products. The founders of HorTeAculture met through their love for cats and it’s from this that HorTeAculture was born. Our range of teas encompasses a wide variety of tea categories, featuring blend bases crafted from Rooibos and Honeybush sourced in the Western Cape, Black Tea renowned as some of the world’s best from the Assam region in India, and Hibiscus, celebrated for its bold and vibrant profile. From these high-quality bases, we have created a variety of exceptional blends by incorporating chamomile, fruits, locally sourced flavors, and indigent elements like chocolate and caramel. To further expand our offering, we will soon introduce Green and White Tea blends, ensuring an even broader selection of unique, luxury teas. Our packaging is an art form, featuring lesser-known South African flowers like the Cosmos, Agapanthus, Weza Cala Lily, and Flame Lily. Each box shares the story of the featured flower and its connection to the blend, complemented by striking raised floral prints on collectible tins. We create 8 Limited Edition Blends annually, each curated to celebrate special occasions in the year and reflect the exclusivity and collectability loved by our clientele. HorTeAculture is 100% female owned.
