Last night we had the privilege of attending the South African Restaurant Awards and honestly, we’re still taking it all in.

To be recognised and nominated only 6 months into Alostro Coffee Club’s journey means a lot to us. What started as a simple idea around coffee, connection and community has slowly grown into something people genuinely believe in, and for that we’re incredibly grateful.

Thank you to everyone who voted for us, supported us, visited the space, told a friend about us, attended our events, worked from our tables, ran with us on Sundays, or simply chose us for their daily coffee ritual. Every bit of support played a part in getting us into that room.

Congratulations to all the winners and runner-ups. South Africa’s hospitality industry is filled with passionate people doing beautiful work and it was inspiring to share space with so many great restaurants and brands.

And finally, thank you to the South African Restaurant Awards for the recognition and for creating a platform that celebrates the people and stories behind hospitality.

Still early days for us.
Still learning.
Still building.
But deeply grateful.

Doors reopen from 1:30PM and everyone’s welcome to drop in for your afternoon coffee, brunch catch-up or slow Saturday reset.
