Gilroy’s Brewery has produced fine ales and lagers since the year 2000, and is one of the oldest and most respected craft brewers in South Africa. Lankwarden, winners of West Rand Tourism Best Restaurant and Tourist Destination for three consecutive years, and also twice winners of the Telegraph “Best Of British” Global competition. In the 007 novel, Carte Blanche, The Gilroy Serious was chosen by the author Jeffery Deaver, as James Bond’s choice of beer when he visits South Africa. Gilroy’s has, and continues to take micro-brewed beer to new heights. In 2008, the Brewery relocated from Roodepoort, to it's current Muldersdrift venue. With this upgrade, the brewery was able to meet the greater demand for bottled beer, and keep our fan's glasses (and bellies) full in the beer garden over weekends.
