Linden once sent its peaches around the world 🍑

Long before the cafés, before the traffic and before Joburg became the city we know today — Linden was one of South Africa’s biggest peach-growing regions, exporting thousands of crates to the United Kingdom.

And somehow, through all the change, this suburb never lost its soul.

The trees.
The pavements.
The people.
The mornings.
The feeling that life here still moves a little more humanly.

14 years ago, we opened The Whippet because we believed suburbs matter.
We still do.
