The Peech Hotel has announced the imminent closure of Basalt Restaurant.
Set to close it's doors after a final service this Saturday, 14 December, the sunsetting of Basalt comes a little over 5 years since it first opened, during which time it has featured some of South Africaโs finest chefs, including (Pot Luck Club Cape Town / Sejour / Marabi Club), Alex & Eloise Windebank (), Tim Stewart & Tyeya Ngxola (), Candice Philip (The Saxon/Grei), and our current resident, James Diack . Thank you all for being an integral part of our journey.
Looking forward to a new and exciting partnership with Luke Dale Roberts & The Pot Luck Club Joburg, one which further extends our offering and days of service to our hotel guests and local diners.
From 28th January 2025 we are excited to welcome into this space (formerly Basalt). Our existing team will be joined by their awesome team moving across from Oxford Parks, not to mention the continuation of exceptional food, banging cocktails & an awesome vibe!
The Pot Luck Club Johannesburg will reopen its doors in the new year based at The Peech Hotel in Melrose. Our first service will be Tuesday 28th January.
Bookings for next year open on Monday 16th Dec on Dineplan.
