Chez Alina is a multi-award winning Restaurant based in Dobsonville, Soweto, boasting a unique, authentic and homely environment in which guests enjoy their meals. Chez Alina is a home turned into a Restaurant, with a humble family consisting of 4 generations residing there. The reason behind this setting is to provide our guests with first- hand experience of what an ordinary four roomed house in Soweto looks like and also experience the vibe and atmosphere of the place by interacting with the locals. Alina Mlotshwa, a National Travel Guide since 1987, after her vast traveling experience she realised that it all comes down to having a good meal in a homely environment as well as interacting with locals and experiencing the real life of ordinary people of that particular place, that stands out for most travellers. In the African culture, we believe that as a person you have to feast with the eyes first and open up all your taste buds before a good meal. After enjoying their three course buffet meal, the guests are entertained by young local dancers and singers with their traditional dances and melodious voices. Often the guests join in the song and dance to create an unforgettable experience of Chez Alina Restaurant.
