Apparently Farina has become the Joburg weatherman. 🌧️😂

And today’s forecast is: cold, wet and a very strong chance of chicken wraps from 4pm.

Crispy crumbed chicken, cheddar, avo, lettuce, tomato and red onion, with sweet chilli and mayo, wrapped up and toasted.

We cannot do much about the weather, but we do have blankets and we can feed you. 😉

South Africa vs Australia kicks off at 11:45am, which, rather conveniently, is 15 minutes before Bottomless Mimosas ends. 🥂

Coincidence? We think not.

A little family moment from us ❤️

This week is a rather special one for our Farina & Waiting For George family.

Our Smith is marrying his Nikita on Saturday. ❤️

Jason is swapping restaurant duties for Master of Ceremonies duties, Mr Legs will not be around doing his Souvla 🔥 and I will not be running around clearing tables and hugging everyone, so yes, there may be a temporary shortage of hugs. 😂

We are all disappearing for five days to do something far more important…

Watch our boy marry the love of his life. ❤️

Which means our lovely Zandi is holding the fort.

Pretty much all of it. 😂

So we are asking our wonderful community to give her a little extra love this week. Be extra kind, be extra patient, have a laugh with her and remember, there is only one Zandi and quite a lot of you. 😉

The food will still be cooking, the drinks will still be pouring and the doors will most definitely be open.

We will just be away making some very special family memories.

To Smith & Nikita, may Saturday be everything you have dreamed of and the beginning of the most beautiful adventure together. ❤️

Tuesday night at Farina… where someone at the table suddenly reveals they know an alarming amount about flags, 80s music and obscure geography. 😂

Best to get the important stuff sorted first.

A few antipasti for the table, pizza doing the rounds, someone’s eating pasta, and a glass of w**e, or our very own Birra Farina within reach.

Sunday at Farina starts with tender roast beef, and tends to escalate from there. 😉

Our cold craft Birra Farina draught alongside it, because Sunday lunch deserves a b**r with its own name.

Then Nikita moved onto the homemade tiramisu, followed by the Biscoff vanilla cake, clearly taking her Sunday responsibilities very seriously.

Smith, meanwhile, went straight for the lemon baked cheesecake, no notes, just a good decision.

A little Farina weekend ❤️

It starts tonight with Chris live from 5:30pm, great food, a glass of something cold and Friday is officially underway. 🎶

Then we slow things down a little.

Breakfast from 8am Saturday & Sunday.
Delicious French toast, Filicori coffee, and absolutely nowhere you need to rush off to.

Sunday lunchtime, Janis is live from 12–3pm, the roast is coming out of the kitchen from 12:30pm, and hopefully the sun has decided to join us too. ☀️

Friday night music, slow breakfasts and Sunday roast, just another weekend around the Farina table. ❤️
