🎉 CELEBRATING 20 YEARS of TUMBLE DOWNS 🎉
Twenty years ago, we opened the doors to Tumble Downs Restaurant with a dream but no plan, willingness to put in the hard work but no knowledge, but we had the hope that it would become a place where people felt at home. Today, as we celebrate our 20th Birthday, our hearts are full of gratitude.
From the very beginning, this restaurant has been about more than just food — it’s been about family. Our kids — Kaila, Ruben & Aimee-René — have been part of this journey since day one. They’ve grown up in the restaurant, helping wherever and whenever needed, learning the value of hard work, and sharing in the pride of building something special together as a family.
We are especially grateful to them for their constant support, encouragement, sacrifice, and unconditional love over the years. Life in the hospitality industry is not easy, it requires long hours, and countless late nights — and they have stood by us through it all. We couldn’t have done this without them.
Together we’ve watched families grow and couples grow older, hosted countless celebrations, shared laughs and heartaches, and built friendships that have become as close as family.
We are so incredibly thankful to our dedicated staff (past and present), and everyone who has supported us along the way. You’ve all made these 20 years unforgettable.
Our success we measure not in rands and cents but in the relationships than have developed between our family and all the families that have share in this journey with us.
