It sure feels a lot like summer around here, suddenly 🌞😎

Please note we've moved the clock back 30 minutes, and are back to our summer trading hours 😁

Our new kitchen hours 🕒 are as follows:

Monday to Wednesday: 07:30 - 16:30
Thursday, Friday: 07:30 - 21:00
Saturday: 08:00 - 21:00
Sunday: 08:00 - 14:30

New shiny floors and then some! 😍

​Three and a half years ago, as a very enthusiastic 30-something restaurant manager, I took a massive leap of faith and took over ownership of The Pelican. 😬

​Thanks to the unbelievable support of our Hout Bay community and the tireless dedication of our chefs, cleaners, waitrons, and baristas, we’ve grown from strength to strength and will continue to do so.

Because of you, we’re now in a position to reinvest back into the restaurant. This is just the beginning—we’ll keep upgrading until everything is exactly where our incredible guests deserve it to be.

A special shoutout to Matthew and his team for the beautiful new/old floors, to the trio from Oven Boys for making our 10-year old kitchen equipment look like brand new ones, and Simon from Cape Gas for making them work like brand new ones again!

We are open again and back to full functionality, so pop in and see what we've achieved (so far)! 😎
