Dit voel soos gister, maar dis al 1 hele jaar later. Dit is steeds net so hartseer soos n jaar gelede. Ek mis ons mense steeds elke dag. Soms wonder ek oor die harte wat gebreek was, die nuwe verhoudings, die mypale... ek wonder of hoe dit met julle gaan....
Ek mis die besige aande, seer voete maar my hart vol van dankbaarheid. Ek mis om julle naby my te hê... ek mis die drukkies, geheimpies deel en celebrate van goeie nuus.
Ek mis om jou te bedien, vir jou kos te maak en saam te lag!
Ek mis Sam's Cafe! My katte! Die sonsondergang! Die mense! Die musiek! My Phiwe en Talent!
Ek mis oupa en Milan se saam sing op die stage! Ek mis "our die hard friends", wat altyd daar was vir ons!
Ek mis ons Sondag middag kuiertjies, potjies en saam wees op die stoep.

Waar sal ek begin? My hart is vol. Ek is content met waar ek nou is. Hoedspruit het sy uitdagings gehad maar ek voel in my hart dat ons hier moet wees. Ek mis my kinders so ongelooflik baie . Ek mis my harts mense...

Vandag mis ek SAM's Cafe so bitter baie. Ek mis elke stukkie van dit! My kartjies. My harts mense. Al my kinders, myne, en ons sin! Ek mis vir Phiwe, Talent, Johannes en klein Ethan. Ek mis die sonstraatjies wat die stof feetjies laat dans in die oggend. Ek mis my happy plantjies op die stoep. Ek mis die uitsig, die reuk en .... oh my soal.. ek mis die 10min breek wat ek en Robsie saam die son sien sak... ek mis 'n glas wyn saam met Deniel...ek mis al my maatjies wat heeltyd daar was. Ek mis al die drukkies. Ek mis die gekletter van die pool b***e. Ek mis die saam sing. Saam kuier. Ek mis Rugby Saterdae met Sakkie Van Rooyen en KapteinBrandt. Ek mis saam wees. Ek mis dit! Ek mis jou!
Sam's Cafe jy was goed vir ons. Vir my en my familie. Ek sal hierdie kosbare memories vir altyd diep in my hart bêre. Dankbaar vir ewig! Hugh Masekela didn’t just play music — he told South Africa’s story through a trumpet heard around the world.

From jazz clubs to freedom songs, his sound still lives on today. He received numerous national and international awards and honours, including 3 Grammy nominations plus several lifetime achievement and national orders.
Good music never ages.
