After a career as a nursing sister and a long standing passion for cooking and baking Janet Sawkins founded Madeleines. In 2003 she began training and lecturing at the school. She has always had a passion to excel in her chosen path. So after Madeleines opened 14 years ago (which she ran from home) she has successfully opened her first bakery in 2014, which also encompasses a restaurant. Currently, Madeleines offers convenience freezer meals, customised celebration cakes, top quality catering, decadent cake display and breakfast and lunch a la carte menu with top quality ingredients and coffee!
