This weekend, we had the pleasure of welcoming back one of our own, Karli, who recently spent three weeks working at Sam's World of Coffee. 🩷

During her time with us, she quickly became a valued part of our Sam's family, always arriving with a smile, going the extra mile for every customer, and bringing such warmth and kindness.

It was so special to have her return, this time with her nearest and dearest friends from Stellenbosch and what an incredible group of young adults!
Studying medicine, law, and business, they spoke with such passion about their dreams and their future in South Africa. Their humility, respect, and genuine care for one another left a lasting impression on us all.

Karli, thank you for bringing such wonderful people into our lives. We are incredibly proud of you and feel so blessed that you were part of the Sam's
family, even if only for a short while.

Our future is in good hands with young people like you. 🫶

I have many favourite customers who visit Sam's World of Coffee but I can't help placing Uncle Harvie (95) and Tannie Tertia at the very top of my list of special coffee visits and love. ☕️🩷

Okay, let me share with you: Uncle Harvie walks daily, loves gardening, and enjoys cooking. He loves reading and loves his sport. He loves to tell me he is healthy and does everything for himself.

Tannie Tertia drives only because Uncle Harvie has chosen not to drive. He often reminds me that life choices are all about the decisions and choices we make daily. God is his centre point every day of living, and he has strong values and beliefs of honesty and trust.

Your sharp mind and beautiful heart show that age is only a number, Uncle Harvie.

Uncle Harvie has a mind filled with incredible knowledge, wisdom, and stories. From his Stellenbosch days to the beginning of Kromco Apple Farm in Elgin many years ago, every visit brings beautiful memories and conversations that not only inspire me but also the customers he meets at Sam's. 🫶

Uncle Harvie and Tannie Tertia, you are so very special to me. Thank you for your love, your support, and for visiting Sam's every week. Your children and family continue to show us the same love and support, and it means more to me than words can say.

Happy Birthday, Raynen! 🎉

Today we celebrate one of our wonderful Sam’s team members — Raynen! 😬🎊🙌🏼

Originally from Stellenbosch and now proudly calling Hermanus home since 2012, Raynen is currently in his third year of studying Computer Science online through AIT- something we are all incredibly proud of.

When he’s not working hard or studying, you’ll probably find him outdoors surfing, running, or hiking. He loves being outside and embracing all the beauty our town has to offer. 🌊 ⛰️

Raynen says his favourite thing about working at Sam’s is the amazing team and management, and how we’ve all become one big family, and honestly, we feel exactly the same about him! 🫶🏻

Always smiling, positive, friendly, and kind, Raynen is loved by so many customers and staff alike.
