Passionate about coffee ☕️ The owner, Kobus Wiese, established Wiesenhof coffees in 1998. This lead to the creation of Wiesenhof Coffees.

While operating his coffee shop at the East Rand Mall, previously part of another franchise group, he found that he received no support from the franchisor. This resulted in Kobus starting to import his own coffee beans to support his business. Wiesenhof Coffees is a "traditional coffee bar" which effectively bridges the gap between a full-on restaurant and Café. Position can be in a convenient centre, large shopping centre or building complex.

This is one of our favourite parts of roasting. ☕🔥

We pull small samples like this during a full batch to see how the beans are developing as they roast. It might look simple, but a lot is happening in that moment.

The colour, the smell, even how the beans feel, it all tells you where you are in the roast. And sometimes it’s the smallest adjustment that makes the biggest difference.

A few seconds too early or too late can completely change the cup.

That’s why we don’t just set a profile and walk away. We stay with it, watch it, and guide it all the way through.

It’s a process, but it’s also a bit of instinct and a lot of care.

At the end of the day, it’s all for that one cup that just tastes right.
